Logistics
  • Poster setup will occur during morning registration. Posters will be displayed during the entire length of the conference and should be taken down before 5 pm. Poster presenters will be required to stand with their poster for 45 minutes during lunch (11:30 am-1:15 pm); the schedule will be determined in advance.

Materials/Specifications
  • Posters will be mounted to the wall and the appropriate tape will be provided
  • Posters must be no larger than 3’10½” wide and 3’10” high
  • It is recommended that you bring extra copies of your illustrations or a sign-up sheet in case of conference attendees’ requests, as there will be no photocopiers onsite

Poster Design
Here are some recommended tips for your poster presentation:
  • Ensure a logical sequence in your poster; include an introduction, body, and conclusion
  • Use graphs, charts, tables, figures, pictures or lists rather than text to make your point
  • Consider using visual techniques to attract readers, such as using colored paper to mount the sheets
  • Use a large type for the heading/title (84 pt or greater) and your name and affiliation (around 72 pt)
  • Use a medium type for sub-headings (at least 36 pt)
  • All-capital headings/titles may be difficult to read
  • Use a small type for other texts (18 and 24 pt)
  • Use double or 1.5 spacing between lines
  • Use simple fonts such as Times, Arial, or Helvetica
  • Use a larger font size, bold, underline, or frame in a box to highlight
  • All texts should be readable from a distance of 1 meter or more
